The former Waterloo Catholic Church closed in the late 1960s, and after the building became unsafe was demolished in May 1968. The church had been part of the Diocese of Bunbury. The church building had originally been erected at Wellington Mills and opened there in 1903. After the closure of the large mill in 1919, both the town population and the congregation declined. The building was dismantled in 1924 and transported to Waterloo, where it was rebuilt/opened, opposite Wirelass Road [exact location not known]. It was erected on land donated by Mr Terence Hynes1. More historical information/photographs of the former church/congregation are invited. Photographs uploaded 29/11/2025.
