The former St Patrick's Catholic Church, Wonthella closed about 1968, and the property is now used for private purposes. The church had been part of the Bluff Point Parish and part of the Diocese of Geraldton. The church building was designed by Monsignor Hawes in 1938. It was built in 1939 as a simple temporary structure, until some grander building was required. The church was opened on 24/9/1939, and from 1940 was also used for a school.
