A very worn foundation stone records: "To the Greater Glory of God - This stone was laid - by - K M Eastman Esq - W M of the - Wellington Lodge of Freemasons of - St Matthews ???? - 1907". The stone is too worn to read some of the inscription.

The Brunswick Anglican Church is in the Brunswick/Burekup Parish and the Diocese of Bunbury. The church had its origins when the Brunswick Women's Guild, which met for the first time on 11/5/1905, determined to raise funds for the erection of a church building. The foundation stone was laid on 21/9/1907 in the presence of the Rt Rev Frederick, Lord Bishop of Bunbury. The church was consecrated by the Lord Bishop on 1/2/1911.
