A stone statue in the graveyard records: "This cross commemorates the life and work of John Ramsden Wollaston MA 1st Chaplain of Port Leschenault (Bunbury) 1842-1848. He built St Mark's Church Picton, 1842. Afterwards he was rector of Albany and Archdeacon of Western Australia. He died 3rd May 1856 and was buried at Albany".
