Bruce Rock Uniting Church - Former

The former Bruce Rock Uniting Church, held its final church service, after about 103 years of ministry, on 5/6/2016. The service was conducted by the Rev John McKane. The property was then sold, and has now been demolished and removed from the site. The earliest Methodist services in the district began after 1912, when Mr G Jones had been appointed Methodist missioner. Before there was the town of Bruce Rock services where held in the Noonagin School, and when it closed in a number of private homes. A church hall existed by 1915, although the date of its erection is not known. The present church building was opened about 1923. The church prior to closure had been part of the Uniting Church Synod of Western Australia. More historical information/photographs of the former church/congregation are invited.
