The Violet Town Uniting Church, is part of the Presbytery of North Eastern Victoria and the Uniting Church Synod of Victoria & Tasmania. In 2001 the Church built a new worship, ministry, music and arts centre, replacing the century old weatherboard church building. The earliest services conducted for the former Presbyterian Church were held in a slab hut in Primrose Street, and later in the Friendly Societies Hall. The original wooden church building was erected about 1893, after the arrival of their first minister the Rev J Gilsennon about 1895. [See - https://www.violettown.org.au/photo-gallery/picture.php?/1110/tags/8-church for a photograph of the original church building]. No other details are known. More historical information/photographs of the church/congregation are invited. Photographs uploaded 23/4/2018.
