The former Christ the King Anglican Church, Wahgunyah held its final service and de-consecration on 29/11/2025, conducted by Bishop Clarence. The property is now listed for sale (2026). The church had been part of the Parish of Rutherglen and Chiltern in the Diocese of Wangaratta. The building had been erected about 1886 for the Congregational Church and was later acquired by the Anglicans. The church building was consecrated for use by the Anglican Church by Bishop Keith Raynor, of Wangaratta in 1973.
