The Wilby Congregational Church closed many years ago, and the building has been removed from the site. The weatherboard building was erected by Mr J Munro of Bundalong. It measured 30' by 18' with walls 15' high. The Secretary, Thomas Pigdon, advised that the cost was 144 pounds. In January 1904 it was decided to extend the building by 15' thus providing seating for 160 people. It appears the church was a circuit church - instead of having its own minister, it was served by ministers from Lake Rowan and Yarrawonga. The church was still functioning in 1927.
