St Joseph's Catholic Church - Former Site

The former St Joseph's Catholic Church, Wilby has closed, and the building removed from the site. The church was part of the Parish of Yarrawonga and the Diocese of Sandhurst. The church building was opened on 3/5/1883. 'Some 200 people attended the blessing and opening of the Church by the Vicar-General Dr Reville of Wangaratta. As a bishop was not in attendance, the church could not be consecrated at the same time. The weatherboard building measuring 33' by 18' with a chancel and vestry each measuring 12' by 10' cost 150 pounds'.
