Pine Lodge Uniting Church - Former

The former Pine Lodge Uniting Church, which was part of the Presbytery of North East Victoria and the Uniting Church Synod of Victoria & Tasmania, is now closed. The earliest Methodist services began in private homes, until the first weatherboard building was erected/opened in 1877. It was built on land donated by Mr James Wright, one of the men who conducted worship in their homes. From 1878 until 1887 the building was also used as a school. With a growing congregation, a larger building was needed and the present church building was opened on 6/8/1924. The church hall was built in 1961. After 145 years of service to the community, the church held its final service on 15/1/2022. More historical information/photographs of the former church/congregation are invited.
