The St Ignatius Catholic Church, Richmond is part of the Parish of Richmond and Richmond North, and the Diocese of Melbourne. The first part of the church building, consisting of the nave, tower and aisles, was opened on 13/3/1870 by the Rev Dr Fitzpatrick, Vicar-General. The building was not however completed until about 1927, due to financial constraints. The church celebrated its 150th anniversay on 30/7/2017. More historical information/photographs of the church/congregation are invited. Photographs uploaded 11/9/2021.
