Comments

The present St James' Memorial Anglican Church, Orbost was dedicated by the Rt Rev George Harvard Cranswick, DD., Bishop of Gippsland, on 21/7/1928. It replaced the first St James' Church which was dedicated on 6/3/1892. Earlier services having been conducted in private homes, a barn, a school and the Mechanics Hall, prior to the erection of this first church building.1 More historical information/photographs of the church/congregation are invited.
