The Scots' Church, Melbourne is part of the Presbytery of Melbourne West. The present church building was opened on 29/11/1874. It replaced an earlier church/school erected on the same site, and opened on 3/10/1841. The first minister was the Rev James Forbes, who after arriving from Scotland held his first service on 3/2/1838, in a temporary wooden building at the west end of Collins Street. This was the first Presbyterian Church erected in the Port Philip District (state of Victoria). More historical information/photographs of the church/congegation are invited. Photographs uploaded 25/10/2021.
