Comments
The former St Andrew's Uniting Church, Montmorency held its final service in October 2016, and the property has since been sold. In 1996 the church had amalgamated with the former Eltham Methodist Church (see separate entry Eltham Montmorency Uniting Church - 3095). The church originally began in a private home about 1914, and two years later a small weatherboard building was erected on land donated by Mr Robert Sharpe. In 1931 the building was moved to cnr Mountain View Road and Rattray Road. The church continued to grow and a larger brick structure was erected in 1955. The original wooden building was demolished in 1977 and a new Education Centre was built. The church also became part of the Uniting Church in June 1977.
