Comments

The former Korumburra Methodist Church closed many years ago and the building removed. The earliest recorded Methodist service in Korumburra was held by Messrs Stafford and Western at "Daisy Bank" the home of Mr and Mrs Guy, in the spring of 1889. The first church building, a wooden structure, was opened by the Rev E S Bickford on 13/12/1891. The site for the church was carved out of the bush (see photograph 2). It was replaced by a brick structure which was opened on 14/3/1909 by the Rev A Madsen1. The church celebrated its Diamond Anniversay from 18/11/1951 to 5/12/1951. More historical information/photographs of the former church/congregation are invited. Photographs uploaded 23/3/2023.
