Heritage trail sign records: Site of the - Goroke Methodist Church - Built in 1888 and opened on August 12th 1888. - First service conducted by Rev. W.H. Scurr. A porch was added to the front and a vestry at the rear. 24,500 locally made bricks were used to build for the cost of £52, and 80 sheets of iron. - This was also the first site of the Cobb & Co changing stables.

The Goroke Uniting Church is part of the Natimuk-Goroke Parish and the Uniting Church Synod of Victoria & Tasmania. The present church building was erected as the Wesleyan Jubilee Methodist Church in 1948, and replaced the original church building which had been opened on 12/8/1888. No other details are known.
