A plaque on the lamp post records: The original Welsbach street lamp was a gift from Mrs Nora Walker and was restored with a bequest from the late Mrs I R Mann, founding President of the Ladies Guild, St Peter's Glenthompson. 5th August 2007.

Comments

The St Peter's Anglican Church, Glenthompson contains original murals painted by local artists. The scenes are from the life of St Peter. The people depicted in the Mural, in the roles of the biblical characters, are all local parishioners of the time. It was by chance I had met an artist in the street who alerted us to the existence of the murals. No other details are known.
