The St John the Evangelist Anglican Church, Cann River operates in co-operation with the Uniting Church (sharing joint worship and/or facilities). The church is part of the Parish of Croajingolong and the Diocese of Gippsland. The church began in 1847. The building of the present St John's was supported by a donation from Edith Reece, and the church was dedicated on 29/2/1928. The church celebrated 91 years of worship and 100 years of association with Bush Church Aid, on 28/7/2019. The Bush Church Aid had supported the church and supplied medical aid to the local Cann River district in the early 1920s. [Sourced from:https://www.gippsanglican.org.au/assets/TGA_9_2019_FINAL.pdf].
