Carapook Uniting Church - Former

The former Carapook Uniting Church has now closed, and the property has been sold (2024). The church had been part of the Presbytery of Western Victoria and the Uniting Church Synod of Victoria & Tasmania. The church building was opened in 1884 for the Presbyterian Church, which became part of the Uniting Church in 1977. Services began in the district about 1862, with early services being held in private homes, the Temperance Hall and then the State School, before the church building was erected. A Sunday School began about the same time as the church. For a period Methodist and Anglican services were also conducted in the building.
