The former St Enoch's Presbyterian Church, Melbourne was part of the United Presbyterian Church of Scotland, which later became part of the Presbyterian Church of Victoria, about 1867. The original church building was opened on 30/3/1851, and the Rev Andrew Mitchell Ramsay was the first incumbent. The building was significantly refurbished and enlarged in 1864, and re-opened on 31/7/1864. After the Presbyterian Church of Victoria was formed there was little need for two churches almost opposite each other in Collins Street, so St Enoch's was sold for use as the Presbyterian Assembly Hall in August 1870. The building was demolished in 1911. More historical information/photographs of the former church/congregation are invited. Photograph uploaded 7/3/2023.
