Comments

The former St Kilda East Uniting Church has closed, with services ending about 1996, and the property sold to the Holy Trinity St Nicholas Russian Catholic Church, in June 2011 [see separate entry - 3183] . The first church building was a wooden chapel in Westbury Street, opened on 15/9/1865. It was erected on land donated by the Hon George Rolfe. The present church site was purchased in August 1885, and the wooden chapel moved to it. The present church building was opened on the 10/5/1888, and the wooden chapel used as a Sunday School until about 19401. More historical information/photographs of the former church/congregation are invited. Photographs uploaded 3/9/2022.
