The Christ Church Anglican Church, Little River functions in conjunction with Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Lara (see separate entry - 3212). It is part of the Parish of Lara with Little River and the Diocese of Melbourne. The first service of the Anglican's of Little River was held in the You Yangs Parsonage in 1857. Their bluestone church being opened on 16/12/1877, at Little River-Ropley Road and then known as St James'. In 1890 the congregation decided to move the church building (stone by stone) to its present site in town. The relocated church building was re-named, Christ Church and consecrated by Bishop Goe on 22/12/1893. The building suffered some damage from the 1985 bushfires. No other details are known.
