A plaque records: A M D G - This plaque commemorates the blessing and - reopening of St Brigid;s Church, Murchison by - The Most Rev N D Daly DD - Bishop of Sandhurst - on Sunday 31st July, 1988. - Builder: Mr W Schraven - Parish Priest XXXXXXX - The original church was blessed and opened by - The Rev Dr S Reville OSA - Coadjutor Bishop of Sandhurst, - in 1900. Under the Patron name of St Mary - the building was carried out by - day labour supervised by the then Parish Priest, - Rev Fr T O'Connell. - The land for the building was given by - Late Mr Martin Cloney.
