The Macarthur Uniting Church is part of the Presbytery of Western Victoria and the Uniting Church Synod of Victoria & Tasmania. The present church building was erected for the Free Presbyterian Church and opened in 1875. It replaced an earlier wooden structure built in 1863, which is believed to have also been used as a school. The earliest Presbyterian services in the area were held in Mrs Robertson's store and at Ewings Hotel. With the union of the Presbyterian, Methodist and Congregational Churches in 1977, it became part of the Uniting Church in Australia. A Sunday School Hall was erected in 1912. More historical information/photographs of the church/congregation are invited. Photographs uploaded 08/03/2016 & 16/3/2023.
