The Manningham Uniting Church was formed about 2011 from the congregations of the Doncaster East, Pilgrim Doncaster, The Grove and Templestowe Uniting Churches. It is presently in the process of renovating the former church building and erecting an adjoining Community Centre. Due to open in 2021.
The former Templestowe Presbyterian Church building(s) became part of the Uniting Church in 1977.
The Templestowe Presbyterian Church was established in 1895, and the wooden church building was erected in 1896, on land donated by Mrs John [Emma] Smith. It has been restored as part of the current development. The brick church church building was erected in 1962 to meet the needs of the growing congregation.
