The former Lexton Presbyterian Church has closed, and the property has been sold (8/2024). The church was part of the Presbytery of Ballarat in the Presbyterisan Church of Victoria. The first Presbyterian Church in Lexton began about 1849, with the first church building opened about 1856. It was replaced by a new building opened about 1876, and built on the original foundations. A school also functioned in the first church building. The church celebrated 150 years of service on 7th November 1999. The celebrations were attended by the Moderator of Victoria - Mr Brian Bayston. - "ADHS Newsletter No 177 January 2000". More historical information/photographs of the former church/congregation are invited. Photographs uploaded 15/03/.2015 & 4/10/2026.
