The Kangaroo Flat Uniting Church is part of the Bendigo Uniting Churches' Network and the Uniting Church Synod of Victoria and Tasmania. It functions in cojunction with the Chum Street and Lockwood Uniting Churches. The present church building was opened on 4/7/1871, and replaced an ealier brick structure opened in 1858, having located to this site in 1856. The original Methodist Church began about 1854 in a slab hut, at another site. The present church building has also been enlarged and renovated over the years to meet the needs of the congregation, and as the resutlt of a fire in 1982. More historical information/photographs of the church/congregation are invited. Photographs uploaded 23/06/2016.
