The former St Stephen's Uniting Church, Barnawartha is now closed, and the property was sold in November 2009. It is recorded (Australian Handbook for 1903) that a Presbyterian church existed in Barnawartha at that time. The date of construction of a former or present building is not known, but it is believed the present structure was erected for the Presbyterian church, [maybe rebuilt after the 1952 bushfire?].
