The St Jona of Arc Catholic Church, Brighton became a separate parish about 1920, and is today part of the Bayside Catholic Mission. St Joan of Arc Catholic Church began as a church/school, being opened by Archbishop Mannix in March 1921. The present church building was erected and consecrated in 1938.
