The St Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Benalla is part of the Presbytery of North East Victoria. The first service in Benalla was held in June 1856 by the Rev Dr James Nash, in a tent. The first church building was errected about 1866, about the time of the calling of the Rev McCully. As the congregation grew a larger building was needed. This was erected in 1905 during the leadership of the Rev McConnan. Other buildings and alterations have been carried out over the years to meet the needs of the congregation. The congregation did not join the Uniting Church in 1977 1. More historical information/photographs of the church/congregation are invited. Photographs uploaded 7/7/2019.
