The former church building was erected for the East Sandridge Congregational Church about 1865. No other details are known about the length of time the building was used by it, or any other details of its activities here. The majority of the Congregational Churches became part of the Uniting Church in 1977.
The building was then used by the Bethlehem Lutheran Church, which was part of the Lutheran District of Victoria and the Lutheran Church of Australia. It in not known when the building was first used by the Lutheran Church, but it is believed they left this location about 1995 and moved to 94 Spring Gully Road, Spring Gully/Bendigo. It was during its time at this site that the Lutheran church celebrated 130 years of Lutheran worship in Bendigo, on 23/2/1986. The first Lutheran service having being held in Bendigo on 24/2/1856.
After the Lutheran Church closed at this site, the property was sold. More historical information/photographs of the former church(es)/congregation(s) are invited. Photographs uploaded 11/6/2025.
