The former St Bede's Anglican Church, Almonds held its final service in May 1969, conducted by the Rev A S Goldsworthy. The church had been part of the Parish of Yarrawonga and the Diocese of Wangaratta. The first building on the site was the former St James Congregational Church, pulled 12 miles by a bullock team driven by Andrew McQualter in 1885. It was a circuit church with Mr Hiscox, the minister from Lake Rowan conducting the first service. The Anglicans took over the building in 1921 and in October 1925 a replacement building was moved onto the site. More historical information/photographs of the former church/congregatioon are invited. Photograph uploaded 23/2/2024.
