Yambacoona Uniting Church - Former

The former Yambacoona Uniting Church, Egg Lagoon closed some years ago, and the property was offered for sale in May 2022. The church had been part of the Uniting Church Synod of Victoria & Tasmania. The building had originally been erected in Loorana, but relocated to Yambacoona/Egg Lagoon in 1971, and reopened on 12/12/1971. It was sited on land donated in 1958 by Mr Harry Lack. Earlier services in the district had been held in the local school or private homes. The earliest record of a service being held in the district was in 1911. After 1975, the building was shared with the Anglican congregation, until services ceased. More historical information/photographs of the former church/congregation are invited.
