The Cygnet Uniting Church is part of the Presbytery of Tasmania and the Uniting Church Synod of Victoria & Tasmania. Methodist services were being held in Cygnet in 1864, with a weatherboard chapel erected during the 1870s. It was replaced by the present church building in 1952. The church had its status reduced to a Home Mission Station during the periods 1911-1918 and 1925-1949, reflecting some difficult times. No other details are known.
