The St Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Scottsdale is in the Presbytery of Bass, and functions in conjunction with the Bridport Presbyterian church. Early Presbyterian services in the district began in the Ellesmere Union Church in the mid 1860s. After disagreements between the denominations using the Union building, they decided to erected their own church building. This was opened on 15/1/1882 at the cnr George and Reid Streets. However, as the Scottsdale population centre shifted it was decided to move the building further along George Street, to a more central location. This was undertaken in 1917. This wooden building continued to be used until the 1980s, when it was demolished to make way for the present church building, which opened in 1986. More historical information/photographs of the church/congregation are invited. Photographs uploaded 29/4/2023.
