Marrawah Baptist Church - Former

The former Marrawah Baptist Church held its final thanksgiving service on 5/2/2023, with the remaining congregation expected to join the Smithton Baptist Church (see separate entry - 7330). The church was affiliated with the Tasmanian Baptists, and the final sermon was given by Ted Nibbs. The earliest Baptist meeting in Marrawah was held about 1952, with the church being constituted in 1953 and the church building opened in 1957. Unfortunately this was also the last remaining church in Marrawah. More historical information/photographs of the former church/congregation are invited. Photographs uploaded 18/4/2023.
