Comments

The Stanley Presbyterian Church is part of the Presbytery of Bass. Plans to establish a Presbyterian church began with a meeting held on 9/11/1853, in the Stanley Police Office. It resulted with a building being purchased overseas and erected/opened by the Rev James Garrett on 7/10/1855. After the closure of the former Methodist Church, their building, which was located next door, was purchased about 1900 for use as a hall. No other details are known. More historical information/photographs of the church/congregation are invited. Photographs uploaded 21/4/2023.
