The former Boat Harbour/Sisters Creek Uniting Church held its last service in 2008, and the property has now been sold (2024?). The church had been part of the Presbytery of Tasmania and the Uniting Church Synod of Victoria & Tasmania. The first services in Sisters Creek were held about 1890, with the church building opened on 25/6/1893. The church was erected on land donated by Mr R A Pearson, for the use of all denominations (i.e. a Union Church), and was built largely by volunteer labour. It was opened almost debt free, with only 2 pounds outstanding. In 1897 the property was taken over by the Methodist Trust. It then became part of the Wesleyan Methodist Church and at Union in 1900/2 part of the Methodist Church, and in 1977 part of the Uniting Church. The building was also used as a school until 1907. More historical information/photographs of the former church/congregation are invited. Photographs uploaded 29/5/2025.
