St George's Anglican Church - Former

A plaque on the bell tower records: This church bell was originally from - St Georges Anglican Church Wolseley - 1928 - 1980. - It was moved to Mundulla Anglican Church - 1980 - 2018. - Rededicated in memory of - D.R. (Ross) Carter - (1948 - 2019) - for his service to the - Wolseley community - April 25th 2021. [Now back in Wolseley].

A heritage plaque records: Churches -

• 1884 ~ Methodist Church built Wesleyan schoolroom on allotment 99.
• 1884 ~ St Patrick's Church of England opened (south side railway line).
• 1901 ~ A new Methodist Church built Garrett Avenue, main (northern) part of town.
• 1928 ~ St George's Church of England opened allotment 4. 
• 1934 ~ Church of Christ built as Wolseley Chapel allotment  256.
• 1959 ~ Catholic congregation purchased Railway Institute Social Club building in Railway Terrace.
  • St Andrew's Catholic Church 1959 ~ 1982.

All Churches sold & removed except for Church of Christ Church purchased by Methodist Church 1967 for Sunday School.
