The St Canute's Catholic Church, Streaky Bay is part of the Parish of Streaky Bay and the Diocese of Port Pirie. The church was built/opened about 1912, through the efforts of Danish priest Fr Peder Jorgensen of Port Lincoln. The church celebrated its centerary on 30/9/2012 with a special Mass celebrated by Bishop Greg O'Kelly, of the Diocese of Port Pirie, and Bishop Kozon of Denmark. Bishop Kozon presented an icon of St Canute, the patron Saint of Denmark, as a  gift, in recognision of the early significance of the connection with Fr Jorgensen. No other details are known. More historical information/photographs of the church/congregation are invited. Photographs uploaded 13/8/2021.
