The former Minlaton Baptist Church has closed, and the property has been sold (2004?). The Baptist Church was founded on 3/2/1877 with eight members. The church building was opened on Christmas Day 1877 by the Rev W Clare of Angaston. The porch in memory of the pioneers of the church was opened on 1/11/1947.
