The Good Shepherd Community Church, Leigh Creek is part of Catholic Parish of Flinders (Quorn) and the Diocese of Port Pirie, and also used by the Anglican, Uniting, Lutheran and Church of Christ denominations: "When the representatives of the five co-operating Churches (Catholic, Anglican, Uniting, Lutheran and Churches of Christ) first met in April in 1977 at Port Pirie, a report was received of the proposed move of the Leigh Creek township. The implications of their move for the churches were faced, and the possibility of closer co-operation on a single church site was discussed … Discussion moved from suggestions about a number of chapels on a single site to the idea of a single building used by all the co-operating churches. This idea was met by an offer by ETSA to provide the building in lieu of compensation. Finally, a single building was agreed upon" 1. The church building was opened on 21/6/1981. More historical information/photographs of the church/congregation(s) are invited. Photographs uploaded 31/1/2024 & 29/7/2025.
