Foundation Stone Notes:	The foundation stone was laid by Sir J L Stirling KCMG on 8/6/1929 [it had been scheduled for 1/6/1929, but due to the unavoidable absence of Sir Lancelot Stirling had to be postponed]. The text on the founadtion stone is not known. Information/photographs are invited.

The former St John's Anglican Church, Langhorne Creek has closed, and the property was sold (2023). The church had been part of the Parish of Strathalbyn and the Diocese of The Murray. The church building was opened and dedicated on 2/11/1929 by the Right Rev A N Thomas. Prior to the erection of the church building, the congregation worshipped in the Oddfellows' Hall.
