The foundation stones for the previous church building were laid by Mesdames Hall, Dart, Maddren and Adams on 10/12/1978. The text on the foundation stones in not known. Information/photographs are invited.

The St Andrew's Anglican Church, Lucindale is part of the Parish of the Upper Limestone Coast and the Diocese of The Murray. The present church building was dedicated on 15/2/1964 and consecrated on 30/11/1974 by the Lord Bishop, the Rt Rev R G Porter. The earlier church building on the site had been erected by the Primitive Methodist Church, and opened on 20/4/1879. It was acquired by the Anglican Church and re-opened on 9/10/1881, and consecrated on 30/5/1889 by Bishop Kennion.
