The Yilkie Uniting Church, Encounter Bay celebrated its centenary on 3/11/2019. It was built on land donated in memory of James Jefferis (1833~1917), a congregational minister who came to Australia in 1959. Prior to the building of this church services had been held at the Tabernacle Church, Encounter Bay. The bell from the Tabernacle Church is now located on the current church building.
