Comments

The former St Killian's Catholic Church, Caltowie closed many years ago, and the building was demolished in 1982. The church had been part of the Diocese of Port Pirie. The first church building was opened on 25/12/1873. It was replaced by a larger building, erected to meet the needs of a growing congregation, which was opened on 22/3/1885. The Sisters of St Joseph ran a convent school in the original church building from 1875 until 1887, and a school until 1962 in a new building. More historical information/photographs of the former church/congregation are invited. Photograph upoaded 27/8/2025.
