An information board records: Site of - Caltowie Methodist Church - The first Wesleyan Church was built in 1873. - A new Church was built in 1876 and the first property sold to the Lutheran Community. - From 1921 - 1941, Caltowie Circuit ministered to Tarcowie, Caltowie North (to mid 20s) and Manatoo (to 1930). It then reverted to become part of the Jamestown Circuit. - The closing service was held on 4th May 1980 and the building was demolished. - Some of the furnishings were placed in the Jamestown, Whyte-Yarcowie and Esperance (WA) Churches. |
