The St John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Laura is part of the Booleroo Centre Parish and the Diocese of Port Pirie. The present church building, opened on 15/12/1929, replaced an earlier building on the same site opened about 1870 and demolished in 1936. It had been erected on land donated by Mr Rollison.
