Comments

The former Urania Uniting Church is now closed, and the property has been sold. The church began about 1884, with servces originally being held in the local school and later in a new hall. In 1903 the decison was made to erect a church building on land donated by Mr Fred Greenslade. The Pioneer Memorial Tower was added/erected in 1936, and dedicated on 13/2/1937. The final service was held in the church building on 2/5/2021, after about 118 years of service to the community, and after about 137 years as a worshipping community.
