The St John's Lutheran Church, South Kilkerran is part of the Maitland Lutheran Parish in the Lutheran District of SA-NT and part of the Lutheran Church of Australia.. The present church building was opened on 10/2/1907. A school had been associated with the church for some time, but is now closed. This church building replaced an earlier structure dedicated on this site on 8/10/1876. No other details are known. A cemetery is located beside the church.
